About Julia
Julia Frankel grew up in England, where her love of storytelling began early — she dreamed of becoming an author by the age of nine. Throughout her school years, she nurtured her imagination through creative writing, but it wasn't until adulthood that she discovered how to draw inspiration from her own life experiences. Those personal insights soon blossomed into vivid characters and heartfelt stories, inspiring her beloved Silly Daddy series and many other books.
After moving to the United States in the 1990s, Julia raised her children and often wrote stories to delight and entertain them. What began as tales shared at home grew into a lifelong mission: to write books that make children laugh and also to help them learn to be the best version of themselves. Now, as both a mother and grandmother, she continues to write stories that celebrate family, humor, and kindness — books that share the timeless values she hopes young readers will carry with them throughout their lives.
